I thought I'd create a club as I know there are many GMC Trucks here. A friendly place to swap ideas and advice. Come on in if you own or want one!!

Hi and welcome to my second attempt at HTML since writing the profile. Anyways, I have seen a couple of dozen Typhoons and Syclones listed but no group existed. Basically I'm not surprised if you have to learn HTML to set one up. I'm stabbing in the dark here folks so please bear with me!

I'm not even sure what I'm doing at this stage but it's just a matter of time.

The photos above are of my new truck, taken by Ian, the previous owner until this week. The group is simply a place to meet like minded people and share ideas and experiences. Technical tips are available online but it would be great to have owners contribute their input on here in one place. I'm not even sure how that would work yet. I guess you just join the group and it's a quick way to see who else is online at the same time.

This is by no means an attempt to replace such long established groups like SyTy.org etc as they are THE authorities on these trucks. For those that are unaware of other resources or are new to actually owning one of these rocketships like I am, it seems the obvious place to pool our knowledge, where the trucks are displayed for show and we each have our own profile too.

Naturally anyone with specialist knowledge should feel free to offer advice. I have no ego except when behind the wheel! Do's and Don't's are welcome as far as modifications and safety advice are concerned too. If you see someone about to blow a wad on unnecessary or even dangerous mods when you know how to do it cheaper or better, say so and if someone offers you unsolicited advice, consider it carefully. We all hold a piece to the puzzle.

I'll try to link to a forum for questions and advice, incase anyone knows something someone else doesn't about these awesome vehicles. Check out my profile under HongKongTyphooey for my story so far. Only just bought a Typhoon and should get it next week. I'm no trained mechanic but I'm self taught as needs dictate like most of us enthusiasts and I was blessed with an open mind and a whole heap of common sense so I'm a quick learner and I sometimes even read the instructions! Not sure how well this page will go though but maybe someone can help with the setup? Comments and suggestions most welcome! Maybe actually taking the time to check out some of the most popular groups would be a start? I only discovered this site yesterday.

Driving a powerful vehicle has a powerful effect on us. Driving or being driven fast always made me feel great. That's why we do it but please drive with focus and attention at all times. Pleasure has to be tempered with responsibility sometimes. Expect the unexpected. Get your life priorities in order and save the racing for the track. No-one looks cool underground in a box except Beatrix Kiddo in Kill Bill but she had the dubious 'advantage' of being buried alive!

Talking of digging, that Pussy Wagon was cool, Buck!
