SEMA 2007 - Restoration

54 Vette
1954 was only the second year of production for the Corvette, and examples of this first generation are pretty hard to find. I ran across Bob Bruhn's lovely '54 in the Bilstein booth, and I can't remember the last time I've seen more perfect example of an ideally updated classic. It's got the LS1 motor, 18" American Racing rims, a 4-wheel disc brake conversion with oversized drilled rotors, and a Corvette C6 suspension setup that is, of course, fitted out with all the right Bilstein goodies. Take a look at the rear view and the interior.
56 300B
Here's another beaut I snapped outside SEMA today--my favorite American car from the 50s, the 1956 Chrysler 300B. This is a very rare car--one of only 1,102 made. Many people consider this the first muscle car. Here's the pic of the whole car.
56 Speedster
On display in the Stoddard booth, this 1956 Porsche 356 Speedster convertible has undergone a complete restoration by European Collectibles, including engine and trans rebuild, and body stripped to bare metal prior to repainting. The finished job looks amazing!
64 Dodge 330
One of my favorite spots at SEMA every year is Mopar Alley. This year was extra cool, with half of it devoted to the winners of the Mopar Performance Top Eliminator award (like the Dodge 330 below), and the other half showcasing Challengers past and present. Check out my video of walking through the Alley. You can also find more pics of these awesome Mopars in our Events section.
68 Shelby
To me this 68 Shelby Mustang is the hottest car parked out front. Check out those flares!
